Dude, I'm married and stuff now.

So my journal is friend's only now but I feel like making this update in a public post because it should hopefully be my last on the matter.

John and I spent our weekend in Corpus Christi to accomplish one thing and that was for me to get Amanda's dress for the wedding purchased - I did, so now all 3 of my girls are ready to go. I am aware that we could have contacted several people I know in Corpus Christi but after Saturday morning he didn't quite feel up to spending any more time in the city. I had gotten the hotel for 2 nights so we were stuck but we made the best of it. Besides I had lunch with the most beautiful red-headed baby boy in the world what more could I ask for?

Well, as I said, John was ready to come back home Saturday morning and the following is why... He went to Sidtek. He wanted to see Kerwin to say "hey, how's it going, yadda yadda." He also tried to see Richard & Mike but they didn't answer their door. He did fine for a bit but the only problem in his little visit was our friend James... I say "our" because I'd like to think that maybe way back in high school when he wanted to ask me out or maybe when I was one of two people who kept in contact with him after he went into the military that maybe at some point he did indeed like me and wasn't "just putting up with me for John." John went with hopes that they might be able to mend their problems and move on from the point where it had been left. This does not seem to be the case so for those of you who know the true meaning of the DRS you will actually understand the title of this entry.

The most amazing thing happened the farther we got from Corpus Christi, we got happier each moment we spent in the truck on our way home to Houston where we both have great jobs and where in just shy of 3 months we'll be returning from our wedding at my parents' house as husband and wife and believe me we will never look back again.

And by the way, if you have been harboring any ill-will towards me and need to get it off your chest feel free to do so now, all comments should be screened so anything said will be between you and me.

I hope you and the little guy are doing good... I have a card and stuff sitting here waiting for me to mail them... just need to find your address again.

Edit 9/23/06 A little more background info for those who just stumbled across this entry:
I've worked at a video game store, a bank and now I am finally doing what I've always wanted. I'm finally at home again in a fabulous apartment not far from work or friends from high school. My high school sweetheart and I have been together for almost 9 years and I have NEVER struck him in anger or vice versa and we always talk out our problems rather than hiding them behind new shiny things. If you want to know more or speak your peace do so here.

Things I learned from Ice Age 2:
1. God is an Acorn.
2. The Jews were actually Mammoths.
3. The parting of the Red Sea was actually a split glacier.
4. The angels are Dodo birds.
